Sonja Knaus

Registered Psychotherapist + Certified Music Therapist

If you are struggling with personal or relational conflicts, stress, anxiety, or depressive symptoms, or are hoping to develop effective coping skills to deal with life’s challenges, I offer children, adolescents, families, and adults a compassionate and confidential space to feel heard and seen. My goal as a therapist is to work with you collaboratively to encourage positive and lasting change and enhance your life one step at a time.

As a Music Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist, I have had the privilege of working with diverse people and issues, and I would be honoured to work alongside you. As humans, we are constantly adapting and learning ways to cope with the challenges and obstacles that life throws at us. Trauma, both big and small, can have profound effects on our nervous system, self-esteem, and our ability to self-regulate. As a clinician, I have witnessed the impact that both top-down and bottom-up processing can have on healing. Life can be difficult, and it requires intentional work to become the best version of yourself that I know you can be. I am here to remind you that things can get easier if you just give yourself a chance. It is your time to feel understood.
